Say Lance is captured and taken by Prince Lotor.
Well, the team finally gets their act together to find Lance and save him from Lotor, who seems to have a theme of abusing and torturing his captives. The scars prove it.
The team, after a while of missing Lance, realize just how important his confidence in them was; they are excited to have him back. Only after they are back on in the castle do they realize that Lance is not the same fun-loving boy.
He does not speak out of turn. There are no jokes or cheesy pick-up lines. There are no smiles, no winks, no finger guns. He does not complain. He obeys orders. The look in his eyes says it all. He’s not intent on fun anymore; he is intent on survival.
He behaves like the team always wished he did.
And all they want is the old Lance back.
