So do you guys like think that Hunk has nightmares about his time under the Baku’s control? Like his memories come back to him and he has to relive it, watch has he beats and pushes around his best friend.  And he wants to stop so bad, tries to with all his might, but he can’t change it.  He wakes up breathing hard and crying because there’s nothing he wants more in the world than to protect Lance.  He’s known Lance so long, he’s a piece of home, in a way, and instead of protecting him he’s the one hurting him.

I actually…can’t even recall Hunk touching Lance after this scene.  Hunk has been shown to be very open to touching others. He grabs Lance multiple times at the beginning of the episode, as well as initating hugs and stuff out of the blue in season 1.  Not that they don’t touch after the Depths, but it seems Lance initiates the contact every time. Like in episode nine Coran and Allura hug, so do Shiro and Keith.  The only others with a comparable history are Lance and Hunk, but all we get is this

This is like definitely a reach, but I think Hunk is too scared to touch Lance.
