To be honest, I haven’t really put much thought into that ^^;; I mostly just wanted a way for Keith to get to Shiro via the Garrison. I feel like Keith would be treated more as an object of study or observation since he’s an alien, but Shiro fights hard for him to live a life like any other child. Shiro’s biggest fear is that Keith would fall into the wrong hands, and be treated more as an experiment or a study subject. I don’t think the Garrison would do anything torturous to Keith, but it would probably be a sterile life without any deep emotional connections.
