tbh, that all depends on how you treat the ship. theres a difference between liking a gay couple and creating content for it, and then theres fetishizing it. from what i know, ya//oi ends up in the fetishizing side of things and doesnt respectfully treat the characters- or makes one really feminine/sub compared to the other side of the ship.
like, for awhile, before i came to terms with my bisexuality, i thought i was a straight girl, and i was shipping a few gay ships. i honestly see nothing wrong with it. i mean, its not like youre constantly screaming about these characters just wanting to fuck each other right? because yeah thats more along the lines of ya//oi imo.
so treat the ship like you would any other, dont make it out to be any different. its a ship that you enjoy about characters that you love. dont let people stop you from doing that.
and to those who are going out of their way to spread hate about someones sexuality/gender and their interests, you really need to rethink your fucking priorities. theres no call for it. its petty and literally accomplishes nothing but spreading negativity, and the world already sucks, dont make it worse.
