You can’t just imagine characters to be older to make it acceptable to ship them. It doesn’t change the fact that Pidge is only 14. It’s a really big deal. I’ve gotten caught up in relationships with guys who were 20-22 because they were seemingly younger than that and by the time I found out they were that age it was really bad. They harassed me, played on my insecurities, asked for pictures of my body (which I did not provide), and made me feel trapped and abused. So yes, there’s a huge fucking problem with sh@ladin ships and pidgexpaladin ships. The maturity and age difference is far too much at that age and relationships like that are NEVER healthy.

aw its so cute when a sick person isnt very good at taking care of themselves (usually because theyre out of practice and have a reckless personality to begin with) and just at a glance you can see little markers that their friends are taking care of them. wearing someone’s scarf, carrying a thermos of tea that another friend gave to them, bundled up in another person’s coat… a packet of tissues, courtesy of a fourth friend, sticking out of their back pocket… like they’re a walking collection of evidence that they have people looking out for them, even for little things like a useless seasonal cold
