HELLO im a bit drinking right now so i’m gonna answer how i can! i put this vid up to show i get my Base colors for characters where I have to go eyedroppin for. For my OC’s thats just been a years in the making type deal haha
SADLY i don’t have a big cool palette of my lighting and shading to give you, cuz i like to shoot myself in the foot and save them 3;
I use colors a bit de-saturated for lighting, i use 2 copy layers, one is set to screen the other to overlay (im sporadic on using overlay lmao)
The same goes with shading, i use 2 layers, one set to normal and the other to multiply. all these layers tend to have different opacity with me
it’s a shit ton of trial and error, and the same goes for any skin tones im coloring!
if you’re doing a Theme palette, i always use overlay on top of my base colors
just staying in a tight range on colors like these is a good bet!
using Screen for this is a…not great idea imo
while that IS a nice range of colors, its unacceptable to use it for D00mfist! use em for another character and wammo a Mistake can be used for good
