Everyone, let me preface by saying this:
I live in the Greater New Orleans area in Louisiana, I have all my life. I saw firsthand the effects of Katrina 12 years ago, and every time I visit the city I still see the lasting effects.
Hurricane Harvey is about to make landfall in the next few minutes as of this post.
If you are reading this, and you live in Southeast Texas or are in the path of Harvey, take it from someone who lived through Hurricane Katrina, get the hell out of Dodge. Pack up your clothes, your most valued possessions, your pets, your family, your friends if you have too, and evacuate the area. Save your lives.
