An assassin is really just a serial killer who takes requests.
Excuse you, they take commissions
“hey man can you kill this guy?”
“alright that will be 10k”
“ugh cant you just do it for the exposure? whatever you suck at murder anyway”

just throwing my ideas out there but if Voltron is apparently almost halfway over and Lotor, who we thought was going to be the big new villain, turned out to be just some chump…
I don’t think Zarkon is going to stay the villain that much longer because he kinda double died and was portrayed in a sympathetic light in the flashback episode which takes away a lot of his appeal as an antagonist. Haggar is being shown to regain her memories and remember her true self so I expect she has some sort of heel turn coming up.
I guess it could turn out Lotor is just pretending to fail and this was part of his plan all along but I highly doubt it. I expect he’s planning on gaining the coalition’s trust and then betraying everyone to gain control but whatever he’s doing is very clearly in the early stages.
but most suspiciously is that all of the above pretty clearly have nothing to do with what’s been going on with Shiro and also that spoilery summary that mentioned “the truth behind the Kerberos mission” and them tryinf to keep the truth from Pidge and Keith getting kicked out of the Garrison anyway what I’m saying here is that the Garrison is shady as fuck and they’re and since Iverson got his ass knocked out by Keith in episode one and also didn’t know what the blue lion was so I think he’s just someone’s pawn and that someone is Samuel Holt because he’s the only one I can think of and he’s evil and is behind clone Shiro and is working with the Galra empire.
also he told Pidge that she was gonna do something super great one day and everyone was gonna take notice which ofc could just be him being a supportive father (no he’s evil) but the way he said it always kind of weirded me out because it’s oddly specific so what if like… he knew about Voltron.
BITCH YOU KNOW WHAT SAMUEL KNEW SHIRO FOR YEARS WHO WOULD BE BETTER SUITED TO MAKE AN EVIL CLONE OF SHIRO THAN ONE OF HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS
If we go with this theory, then could Matt be a clone? I mean…he and Sam used that frequency thing to communicate with each other and Matt was just chilling in some empty outpost and that rubbed me the wrong way and we don’t really know who Matt is as a character before that episode where he turns up so…
a fun little thing i drew to cope with season 4 klance withdrawal
GOOD SHIT

one of the paladins: [does something that stresses shiro out]
shiro: holy shit my chemical romance was right. teenagers really do scare the living shit out of me.
as it stands now, the one closest to figuring out that shiro is a clone is actually lance.
hear me out-
everyone else seems completely oblivious so far. maybe keith is slightly suspicious of the circumstances behind shiro returning –he spends a lot of time trying to reason his way through it– but he doesnt question that this is real shiro. even when shiro uncharacteristically and repeatedly shuts him down, he doesn’t ever stop to consider whether this is actually shiro. (keith thinks shiro’s criticism is his own fault, but that’s another topic entirely.)
lance has noticed something off about him from the beginning, even if he isn’t yet sure what it is.
otherwise, he would have gone to shiro with his insecurities in s3, not keith. keith even asks lance why he decided to go to him, specifically.

lance says, “well, i mean, you’re the leader now, right?” but idk, that doesnt really sound like an entirely convincing reason to me.
and then in the last episode- lance says they need to get out off of naxzela, but shiro shuts him down and it. pisses. lance. off. shiro dismissing lance puts voltron in danger- it puts the entire team in danger. when they get back in their lions he literally growls. he is that frustrated.

i think that’s the moment when lance realizes that shiro (regardless of whether he’s the real one or not) is not the right leader for voltron. keith would have listened to him. even though we haven’t had much of a chance to see keith really lead voltron, from what we have seen in s3 e5, he is much more responsive to the team’s input than shiro is. and now lance realizes that. now lance knows that shiro isn’t the right leader for the team- at least not right now.
i want him to side with keith. i want lance to start keeping a more critical eye on shiro. and over time, i want him to notice all the little things shiro/kuron does that don’t add up. i really want lance to be the first to figure out. and the way things have gone, i think he’s already starting to piece it together.
