Actually, I gave up with trying to make my drawings look exactly how I picture them in my head. I just think of a loose idea then let it develop as I work instead. It saves me the frustration of trying to make it like the perfect image in my head. XD
So I guess my advice is to just relax and let it develop as you draw instead of obsessing over perfection. This also helps with keeping your poses from looking stiff. Draw out a loose thumbnail/rough sketch first, but don’t worry about anatomy yet. Just work on getting the line of action and expression down. Then, you can go over it with the clean-up sketch and adjust proportions and anatomy.
