it’s been MONTHS between S3E6 and S4E1

and all that time Keith has been pulling away from the team to fix that “six pilots five lions” problem

we didn’t even see him in his paladin armor at ALL during s4

and tbh the blade’s “we don’t go back for teammates. there is only the mission” aligns really well with keith’s focus on The Mission but

for a boy with abandonment issues to put the Mission before himself so blatantly to the point where he almost dies for a non-existent chance to ram down a shield in an itty-bitty fighter?

the Blade is Not Good For my Boy and the end of S4 really made that apparent.

The point of season 3 for Keith was to unlearn his “mission before the team” mindset which I’m sure is born out of his self sufficiency due to him not really having anyone. So to have him be surrounded by people who really live by that mindset is kinda damaging and sets his development back for sure.

Not to mention the clash of these two ways of thinking is causing a poorly developed martyr complex in him and I’m Not a Fan.
