I’m working on animating some scenes in Anime Style. And there’s been a lot of crazy things going on in this fandom, but I’ll still be here to draw Loud House stuff and more. We must stay strong. <3 Thank you again for all the support.
*scoffs* of course i DO NOT listen to “truly madly deeply” while drawing sheith wtf

My VERY first figure drawing session was probably in 10th grade. I got better just by observing the other people drawing around me and doing it as often as possible. Ideally, I go to a 3 hour session once a week (however life has not been ideal lmao).
I took a very self learning, trial-and-error approach to figure drawing, which has both pros and cons (cons being I had no idea what i was doing)

these are the 3 things i usually go by when composing a figure.

I do most of my figure drawing with conté and the same things can be applied traditionally/digitally. (The S curve for me helps with flow).
Keep it loose and make sure to look at your model!!! however, as an artist you’re allowed to take liberties and make things “look” better (defining more straights vs curves, adding construction/getting rid of construction, making a pose feel better on the page).
“lines of action” are also really great (kind of the same concept as an S curve except like… better).
Hope this helps!
so my mom needed a dress for a wedding so she went to neiman marcus and tried this on and sneaked some pictures

then she showed them to my grandmother and with almost a 50 year sewing career she made an exact replica of the dress for her

no one tops my grandma tbh
