I’ve always had this idea that once Akihito and Mirai are reunited that…well, Akihito begins to lose his grip on his human half as his youmu side slowly rises to the surface, changing him on the outside. His personality would change, too - he’d become violent and angry. And the worst part is that he’s totally aware that he’s slipping.
