thank you so much!! i'm really having a load of fun reading pride and prejudice! my favourite scene so far was when bingley was saying he'd never met a woman who wasn't accomplished (something about how every young lady is introduced to him as such) and mr darcy said that he thinks accomplished is handed out to readily to ppl and that he only knew half a dozen truly accomplished women (elizabeth reacted with some annoyance at this) and miss bingley completely agreed with him, and then went (1/3)
on to list in excess every thing a woman must have to be accomplished - music, language, sewing, etc. and she must have a certain air about her - and darcy was like ‘all this she must have, but also the want to sharpen her mind with extensive reading’ or something like that and since the list was /massive/ and their standards high elizabeth like scoffed and said ‘i am no longer surprised at your only knowing six accomplished women. i rather wonder now at you knowing any’ and it made me (2/3)
laugh so much?? and i know! jane is so nice!! and so is bingley (the perfect match lol), and i love elizabeth’s relationship with jane - like she tramped across muddy fields just to go see her at netherfield when she was ill and jane was really pleased to see her!! and she stayed on even though 3 ppl she doesn’t like all that much at the moment were also at netherfield (miss bingley, mrs hurst and darcy lol) and they both have completely different mindsets when it comes to ppl (jane always (¾)
wants to see the best in ppl, whereas elizabeth is perfectly fine with recognising their faults lol) i look forward to it!! as of this moment darcy is just looking at her and trying not to (there was bit when they met in town and he was about to look at her, but then his eyes were snatched by wickham), and she just really doesn’t like him much at all at the moment (but also thinks and talks about him a lot!!) and ahh it’s so good :) also i love royai!! and i hope you’re well! yeah there’s a lot of really gr8 humor in the series :’) and jane is so naive and sweet, there’s a part where she’s like ‘lizzy his sisters can’t want me out of the picture bc if bingley really is in love with me then they would want me to be around to make him happy’ and u can feel lizzy just ‘oh baby…….no,’ bc caroline is Caroline. also elizabeth spends a solid like…..half a year obsessing over darcy while pretending to loathe him, it’s incredible. i’m glad ur enjoying the book still! <3

- 5 hours later, surrounded by cork boards and diagrams
- lance: “and that’s why that weird alien metal they found was obviously from galra armor” keith: “okay but what about the teeny ass not-galra bodies they found, dumbass, explain that to me”
- there’s a droid in the training room that lance nicknames “keithbot” bc it twitches and sparks like a crazed animal when you overwork it.
- keith: “oh well there’s a ‘lancebot’ in the corner except it’s broken bc i stabbed it in the throat” lance: >:o
- after the lion switch when their relationship improves, lance insists on making keith go on the official three-day-long “Lance McClain Friendship Retreat” and keith is low-key horrified
- hunk: “keith you’re so lucky! the icebreakers are the best part!” pidge: “careful with the trust falls they increase in danger as you collect more friendship tokens”
- they both sneak into the observation deck whenever shiro is training because it’s kinda like watching renaissance art in action it’s beautiful the two of them geek out about it and cheer when shiro gets a good hit in.
- sending these two on missions together either goes amazingly or terribly there’s literally no in between it’s a constant gamble
- the balmera mission? a rousing success. highlight of their career.
- sweeping an abandoned galra base? they got into a fistfight bc keith said lance was scrawny and they accidentally set off the base’s self-destruct sequence
- they oscillate between not being able to be in the same room to developing these strange symbiotic relationships where keith gives lance his shirts to sew up and lance asks keith advice for why his punches don’t have any power. everyone else kinda smiles and doesn’t say anything.
- keith: “i’m not getting into anymore dumbass debates with you” lance: “water is not wet” keith: “bitch how the fuck is water not wet it’s water–”
