All in Her Head

@megatraven has that nifty teen titans au for miraculous and well… you know me. i like to spoil people especially people named meg

also ive written like three things today whoa

They really shouldn’t have been in Marinette’s room, Alya knew. Especially considering the pictures of Adrien that were pinned up on the wall across from her bed. Alya had just barely managed to get keep Adrien from noticing by distracting him with a mirror.

That had, possibly, been an even bigger mistake.

And thus, Adrien and Alya found themselves stuck in some weird alternate reality.

C’est la vie.

It wasn’t even that weird. Just kind of empty. Floating rocks in an endless void. A few ladybug-like-things chattering ominously. It felt like they were in a horror movie, in a way.

Knowing Marinette, Adrien and Alya mused, they very well could be.

Not that they could do anything about it. Besides, they were superheroes, they could handle a little bit of creepy atmosphere and ominous ambiance. So they walked. They walked down the sole path in this odd place, wary of any weirdness that would assault them.

They didn’t have to wait long.

A mere few feet down the path and suddenly the atmosphere changed. There was a meadow, surrounded by a sky painted with pastels. Everything was different. Including Marinette herself. She looked like she normally did, actually, save one small detail.

She was dressed entirely in pink. Apparently this was her favorite color. Huh.

“Well,” Adrien began, “I think it’s a meowvelous choice!”

Then the second really weird thing happened. Marinette laughed.

Alternate universe it is, then. Adrien and Alya mused, even as Marinette claimed, “I always thought you were funny, Adrien. But hey, looks aren’t everything!”

What. Even.

The next weird thing was the maze. Suddenly they were back in that endless dark void, walls sprouting from the ground around them.

And there was Marinette. Or, at least the girl looked like Marinette. If she had all the color drained from her being. It seemed to be Marinette in fifty shades of gray. Also, she was being incredibly shy. The level of shy she usually reserved for when she was next to Adrien, only up to eleven.

Still, the timid version of there friend lead them through the maze. And, to Alya, the sad part was that Adrien seemed to think this was their Marinette just making a fashion statement.

Alya knew she needed to help her friend ASAP after this ordeal. Keyword: after.

Because they still needed a way home.

The monster that awaited them at the end of the maze had been startling, yes, but nothing they couldn’t handle. They fought villains all the time. A two-faced statue was nothing compared to Nino’s archenemy Hawk Moth.

The statue was even less of a match for the next Marinette who showed up.

With a mighty war cry and billowing bright green cape, a Marinette leapt into the fray and flying kicked the thing to pieces.

Then she stood there, hands on her hips, cape billowing epically, and all Adrien could think was “Whoa.”

Then things went from weird to crazy.

Adrien and Alya would never forget the day they saw multiple Marinettes combine into SuperMarinette to fight a weird bug-demon-thing inside what they now knew was Marinette’s mind. That wasn’t something one forgot, ever.

No matter how much Marinette seemed to want them to.

(Later, Alya and Marinette would be talking about how relieved she was that Adrien didn’t meet purple Marinette. That would’ve been catastrophic, they decided, even as Marinette silently bemoaned the unintentional pun.)
