Tangled: So, a sundrop falls from the heavens and grows a flower that can heal wounds and reverse aging through a special incantation/ song.

Audience: Wait, how and why can a flower’s magic be activated through a song?

Tangled the Series: Okay, so centuries ago, there was a big tree that held a bunch of secrets about some crazy incantations that both heal and kill you, but then a big demonic warlock possessed the tree, then some awesome engineer/ sorcerer/ adventurer got rid of him twice, but then got old and is now a monkey.

Oh, and years before Rapunzel was born, there was also another Kingdom called “The Dark Kingdom” that has an evil moonstone that may or may not have caused a bunch of big spikey rocks to form. Also when Rapunzel touches the rocks, she not only gets indestructible hair, she also gets evil moon powers that give her the power to chant an evil incantation that makes her flammable and she kills everything!

Also (deep-breath) ghosts, horses that can climb, shark mermaids, fish people, giant spiders, robots, talking leaves, oversized-horned bears, giant fire-breathing bugs, personality-reversing potions, giant weasels that sneeze a lot, rodents that multiply when they can’t ring a bell, an emotionally damaged alchemist with a father who used to be a member of the Dark Kingdom, the ability to turn into a bird, mushrooms that are dogs, adults turning into babies, human-eating plants AND totems that show you your greatest desires (then make you go nuts) all exist now.

… but curses aren’t real.
