“Lukanette to Adrienette” theory
This is basically a theory on how I think Adrienette will end up together. Keep in mind that this theory is for S3 or the later seasons since we already know that this season doesn’t mean anything to Adrienette’s development.
I have been trying to avoid this SO MUCH, comparing two shows feels like cheating to me. On the other hand, Thomas Astruc wrote both so I guess it is kind of inevitable?
You’re wondering what I’m talking about, I bet. Well, for this little theory of mine you’ll need to know a bit about the Miraculous Ladybug and Code Lyoko similarities!! For the purpose of the theory, I will only be mentioning Ulrich and Yumi’s relationship.
Ulrich and Yumi are, what you would call a “hot and cold” relationship. They tried to stay friends, but there was one factor that stood in their way: jealousy. And the jealousy struck the most when Yumi decided to date William!
And now you’re thinking what does it have to do with Adrienette? WELL despite them being completely different to our OTP, the way they got together is the key. SO… let’s say that Adrien already knows who Ladybug is. OR he starts liking Marinette. Once he sees Marinette together with Luka, his jealousy will some day get to him, like in Copycat!!
So my theory is this: Luka will be Marinette’s BOYFRIEND for some time and Adrien will get JEALOUS. He will get mad, the two will get into a fight possibly telling how they feel for each other. Ultimately Marinette will break up with Luka and he might get akumatized. That is roughly what happened to Yumi, Ulrich and William too, without the akumatizing.
Now take this theory with a TRUCK OF SALT!! I am not too sure that she will date Luka, but I am sure their relationship will be used for the Love Square or Adrienette’s development.

I’ve seen people saying that Marinette is already happy and that she gets that happiness from her friends and family, so she shouldn’t be feeling bad that Adrien doesn’t share her feelings. But rejection hurts and she wants nothing more than for Adrien to love her as more than a friend. Luka is giving Marinette the attention she’s been longing for and he shares her feelings toward him even if they don’t know each other THAT well yet. Personally I hope we see Luka and Marinette together even if it’s just going to be for a short time. The girl deserves to have someone in her life that shares those same romantic feelings for her as she does for him.

Being “Disloyal” (Some thoughts as I write chapt 3)
I get really annoyed when I see posts on Tumblr calling Marinette (and us Luka fans) “disloyal”. Disloyal to what?? They’re not even dating?? Presently, Adrien is still blindly in love with Ladybug? I can like both Luka and Adrien? Why are you asking me to choose between 2 precious children??
Some people even grumbled about how there were other boys who appreciated her before Luka (i.e. Nino and Nathanael), but I’m not sure if they can be compared in the same way. Nino and Nathanael admired her from afar, and were too shy to approach, or interact with her. Luka doesn’t crush on her in the same way. He starts liking her only after interacting with her, and watching her bravery in action. He thinks her stuttering is cute. They interact, and there’s chemistry.
