ok but consider: haida and retsuko struggling not to pda during Work Hours, taking their lunches together in secret spaces throughout the office while cuddling up to each other and writing songs together. haida “anonymously” leaving flowers and poems on retsuko’s desk, along with the occasional (not so) cryptic address to a rendezvous location along with a set time after work. retsuko and haida becoming the center of kabae’s gossip because she can just tell something is up and she’ll get them to spill eventually no one can keep this shit from her for long. haida and retsuko just generally being sweet on each other and being the reason they both can’t wait to get to work even with how often they see each other outside of it
