Does it bother anyone else that Merlin destroyed Jim’s Vespa? The one that was explicitly the one really good gift Jim got on a bad birthday. That he and Blinky, in the show, worked on together and was arguably a way for them to bond.
Like Blinky told Jim he’s his son and they had that moment and it was great and they have this great relationship that they’ve built.
Then Merlin (who jokes about being Jim’s father- the guy who walked out on Jim and Barbara and ruined Jim’s birthday in the first place with the original bike kit thing that the Vespa sort of replaced, at least symbolically) comes along and destroys that gift and arguably Jim himself by choosing him as Trollhunter and turning him into a part-troll.
Like Jim finally got a good father figure relationship thing and Merlin comes along and stomps all over it

Okay so everyone be talking about Draal and bitch ass Merlin and all the tears shed but I have yet to see ONE post about how Steve stood up for Eli when Coach (hyped up on crazy sauce) was insulting him OR how Coach made Steve cry and humiliated him in front of the whole class just hours after Steve accidentally called him dad OR HOW ELI WENT AFTER STEVE TO MAKE SURE HE WAS ALRIGHT
JUST, WERE IS THE TALK OF STEVE AND ELI LOOKING OUT FOR EACH OTHER?!
