klance is endgame and here’s why (contains vld6 spoilers)
so since season 6 got released, a lot of klance shippers seem to have lost all hope, so I decided to write a posts listing all the reasons why I think you shouldn’t give up on klance.
for starters, I’d like to say that even though I love voltron with all of my heart, I know the show has its flaws when it comes to its writers.. I mean, they’re not bad, but yeah, the story could be better, some dialogues could’ve been better written, but one thing that I’ve noticed with voltron writers is: they take things SLOW. like;;; really slow, guys. that’s why I decided not to jump into conclusions after I watch one season made of 6-7 episodes. For example: I had the BIGGEST AND HIGHEST hopes for season 3, and when I finished watching it;;; well it fell like my world fell. and for some of you it’s going to seem weird because i know that klancers LOVE season 3 due to said pairing’s interactions, but I didn’t like it because the story didn’t progress at all, and in the end it just felt like I’ve watched 2 hours of nothing. then season 4, 5 and 6 came and jesus A LOT OF SHIT HAPPENED. things that I was waiting for since the beginning finally happened (like keith’s backstory and his mom, pidge finding her family, shiro finally coming back…)
so yeah… voltron writers take things… SLOW.
okay now coming back to klance, those are a few reasons why I believe klance still has a chance of being endgame
1. allurance
I know a lot of shippers are worried about allurance being the endgame, and although I have nothing against said ship, I don’t think it’s going to happen because I don’t believe that Allura and Lance will end the series in the same place.
What I mean by this is: When the show ends, it’s highly likely that Lance and Allura will go to different paths. Why? Because Allura is an alien, she’s Altean; while Lance is constantly shown as someone who misses his family and country so. damn. much. Lance is an Earth boy, and I’m 100% certain that Lance will end the series returning back home, and I highly doubt that Allura is going to abandon the universe to stabilize with Lance on Earth. I can’t see Allura living on Earth, like. At All… just like I can’t see Lance living on a ship with Allura travelling across the universe.
2. parallels that go straight to klance
there are so. many. parallels that lead us to klance. season 6 gave us a lot concerning keith’s parents and klance. I highly doubt that this is just a coincidence.
I mean even Keith’s dad and Lance’s jacket are similar. COME ON.
and I mean, there are others like Lance saying “we are a good team” to Allura; the color scheme of Hunk and Shay is identical of that one of Keith and Lance, from the same episode. why only one be romantic coded?
3. lance is going to have an endgame
I think we all know that it was estabilished already(I think Jeremy was the one who said that? I honestly don’t remember…. I think it was at a con) that Lance is going to have and endgame, and it’s going to be a slowburn. if it’s a slowburn, it has to be with someone he knows since the beginning (and it was also estabilished that their relationship in the end will be very different from how it was in the beginning). That leaves us two people: Allura and Keith. It can’t be Hunk, Pidge or Shiro because there was never something romantically inclined between Lance and these 3 characters; and as I said above why I believe Allurance won’t be endgame, that leaves us one person only: Keith.
4. and to finish, my last reason comes from this twitter user right here
basically, what she says and I 100% agree with, is: there are SEVERAL klance moments put in the show that are there just to imply that Klance is SOMETHING. they don’t add ANYTHING to the story, so why did they put them there? scenes like the bonding moment, the bedroom scene… if the producers didn’t intend on doing something with these two characters, they wouldn’t waste their time animating and writing those scenes. the only logical explanation is: klance is endgame and they are taking things SLOW.

Klance is so not dead!
I started watching monsters and Mana season 6 episode 3. After Watching Lance’s and Allrua’s interactions I didn’t have much to say about it until one scene near the end.
It was after the game ended and Allrua said she had fun. Then Lance flirts with her
So after watching this moment I started to think about what I could say about how they felt and what this meant. I mean she doesn’t look upset he’s flirting with her like she had in the past. I wanted to say that maybe it was because she now knows that he really likes her-so she wants to be more respectful of his feelings.
But that’s all I really could say I mean if you look at the pictures she even reacts to his comment.
I was feeling kind of depressed after this. I couldn’t think of any reason why the the creators would put this in the show unless they wanted to showcase it as a romantic moment
I mean just look at Lance he has that exact pose that’s totally flirty. You know the arm wrapped around the chair, his legs spread out, a slight lean towards the person hes flirting with. The facial expression …
Then I was like “oh sh*t!”
I yelled that like three times. Why? Because Lance is flirting with Allura in this scene. Its a romantic cannon moment where Lance is flirting! He is obviously flirting with the person he’s talking to! Why does that matter to klance shippers?
Well before I new it I clicked on season one episode two.

Looking at the scene they have the same body language which has been called flirty sense season one. There facial expressions are almost identical as well.
This is huge! Not only do they mirror the bonding moment in a romantic setting in season six. They also proof that Keith is flirting with Lance confirming that Keith has some amount of cannon romantic feelings for lance.

I was really surprised I haven’t seen any post on Tumblr or Amino about this. I’ve been looking at like all of them. I just got so excited when I noticed this because I was like man they’re confirming that moments between Lacnce and Keith in earlier Seasons really did have merit and that the fans were not wrong to think that they were romantic. I think that’s season six may contain be the biggest node towards klance as end game we’ve gotten so far.
Even though the season made everyone seem so far apart things are coming together a lot more than we may think.

* I LOVED how they made the flashbacks. it was so fucking creative
* Shiro wears the clothes of Keiths dead dad and this makes me kinda sad.
* Krolias and texas Koganes lovestory is just perfect ?! she only wanted to protect her family and keiths dad loves his alien wife and his half-alien son.
* Keith gets a space wolf and spends quality time with his mother
* they spend 2 fucking years on this thing? Keith ist 20 now?!
*Why does Lance talk to the mice? The mice are fucking snitches.
