With the knowledge that Adam gave Shiro an ultimatum—him or the mission, this scene gets a whole new meaning to me. A way more painful one. Because as you may remember, the real Shiro was watching this
Shiro, who was forced to pick between his partner or the mission, would never make someone else pick between him or their family. Shiro knew how painful that was.

klance is just so wonderful to me? like its a delicious mixture of “we are polar opposites and theres no way we could get along” and “we have so much more in common than we think”. I mean, fire and ice? red and blue? extrovert and introvert? loud and quiet? loner and family man? but then, keith so desperately wants a family. Keith is very very good at one thing and lance is sort of good at many things. They are both useful and needed but most importantly they need each other because like ?? they may see themselves as polar opposites but they honestly just complement each other so well? like, they fill in all of each others empty places? Keith has so much love to give and Lance is so good at receiving love??? Lance just talks and talks and feels like nobody is listening but Keith listens to him??? even when keith finds it hard to listen to anyone else?? and im just??? and then they are just both so passionate and snarky and witty and they just fall into place right next to each other so naturally im justttt???? theres so much more i could say but like, props to dreamworks for creating such a beautiful pair, regardless of if they are canon or not? i have been blessed by klance honestly
update: i still love klance so much it physically hurts sometimes ha ahaah ah ha aa. .. .

imagine youre keith and you go to school with this kid who is literally the size of a peanut
you’re aware of him, but not really paying much mind to him. theres other stuff going on
but then one day he shows up and he looks like this now and also he’s significantly taller

This has literally been my theory about why Keith didn’t remember Lance at first.
Lance had a growth spurt since he saw him last.

LM: The Klance ship is one that maybe comes together from a little bit of that opposites attract sort of situation, where you have these two characters that really don’t get along and you just kind of want to find that path that ultimately leads them to each other.
JDS: I think the ship between the two of them is, you know, their character arcs kind of have probably the biggest evolution in the show. They started off in one place and their relationship has evolved, and I think shipping them is just, you know, continuing that evolution and its natural progression.
