I’m so happy with Incredibles 2.
Lemme show you why.

I support this beautiful trans superhero.
well he’s not wrong

he’s incredibly wrong and saying that adrien is perfect while automatically listing marinette’s flaws (which are honestly the same as adrien) convinces young girls that having emotions similar to marinette is a bad thing while cementing the fact that any and all character development marinette gets is to make her closer to Perfect Adrien
it also invalidates a lot of adrien’s development, showing his emotions and getting over frustrations because now he can’t be blamed for anything bad he does (hello, jeopardizing an akuma battle because he was huffy at ladybug for having friends outside the costume?)
thomass for whatever reason *cough* sexism *cough* refuses to give any of his female characters a break, demonizing them (in chloe and lila’s cases) or just ragging on them and making sure we know they’re flawed, while keeping his mouth shut on anything a male character does.
boys can’t make mistakes but girls are bad is not something he should be spreading about

I don’t usually post salt- but holy heck Thomas. Writing 101: If you make your characters perfect then they will eventually be considered boring at best and promote dangerous standards of behaviour which are emulated irl at worst!
This reeks of misogyny. The idea that guys always get a free pass- there’s always someone or something else to blame for their crummy behaviour. But with girls? No of course it has to be THEIR fault. If girls make a mistake- it’s always because they’re crummy- nothing to do with anyone else.
I am disappoint. It’s too early in the morning for this. Imma get some honey nut cheerios.
Honestly I’m not sure I could put it any better than what’s been said above, but I’m glad other people saw this and were annoyed by it like I was. It really does reek of double standards.
Adrien isn’t perfect, but if he was, he’d be boring. His flaws aren’t because of the ‘outside world’ either, it’s because he’s human. Also Marinette is completely allowed to be ‘not in control of her emotions’ all of the time, she’s a teenager for goodness sake. Who can honestly say they were the epitome of zen when they were her age?
If I had any respect left for Thomas that would have killed the rest of it.

Update: he just added this. Um, Thomas… THEY’RE THE SAME FUCKING PERSON!
symbra commission i do for @hetaliatime !! thanks you i very enjoy your idea!! <3
sorry i literally cannot get over the fact that lance died for a romantic plot device. he literally fucking DIED and his death only served for allura to give him googoo eyes for 3 seconds and then go back to her colonialist boyfriend. he fucking died and no one asked and no one cared and it was never revisisted bc all it was was a reminder for allura that she has a fallback rebound boyfriend if she ever needs one. nice
Sometimes I just start singing and my mom joins in
Whoa…
#don’t trust this
#they’re probably sirens
These two are singing “O magnum mysterium” by Tomas Luis De Victoria! It’s a very pretty piece from the renaissance that has a lot of different voice parts singing totally different melodies that mesh well together. I sung tenor for a song of his as well. It sounds ethereal in cathedrals and bathrooms alike my opinion. Its the room’s ability to bounce sound and make it resonate, giving it it’s “mermaid siren” like quality. It sounds great. Congratulations, you both! Sounds very pretty and seems like a fun time to clean with things like that.
yes its back on my dash
god lol
I always reblog the bathroom sirens <3
The bathroom sirens.
I was uncontrollably hype when I recognized this song in chorus the other week.
If this is how sirens sound I’d surely die because I’d approach these beautiful voices.
the sirens are back
The bathroom sirens are back on my dash!
