as much as i’m freaking out over the information in the books (mainly all the klance stuff OOF), what happens in the actual show takes precedence for me when it comes to theorizing on what’s going to happen in the future, and in the show, keith calls earth “home” on numerous occasions. that’s why i still don’t think he would leave to go back into space.
i can see where people are coming from with the whole galra emperor keith theory, but from a narrative perspective, it simply does not have a place in the story. yes, keith has a leadership arc, but it has finished. it finished the moment keith stepped up to pilot the black lion back in s6. he’s no longer insecure in his ability to lead; the show is only displaying how capable he is as a leader now. there is nothing left to explore there.
moreover, keith’s main story throughout the show has never been about leadership. it has always been about opening himself up to others and being vulnerable, allowing himself to be loved and love others in return. post s6, keith’s arc is not about leadership. post s6, his arc focuses on strengthening his connections with those around him and allowing himself to grow closer. we see this through his interactions with shiro, krolia, and hunk in s7.
and in my opinion, keith has too many ties to earth to not remain there. i mean, shiro is there. that’s his brother. and since klance will most likely be endgame, keith has lance on earth. not to mention, hunk and pidge. what does he have up in space? the galra? no. voltron is keith’s family. he wouldn’t leave them to rule an empire, he simply wouldn’t.
not to mention (now i’m just ranting because i actually really fucking hate this theory with my entire being), keith would make a horrible diplomat. yes, i know he’s grown, but this boy does not belong in a throne room. he’s a great leader in battle. he’s made for the front lines. i cannot see him finding happiness in ruling an entire race. it’s simply not him.
and why, why, are people using this

to support emperor keith?
why?
what part of lance’s expression screams “galra emperor keith”? look at his smile. that’s fondness and affection. it they meant to foreshadow keith becoming an emperor with that line, lance wouldn’t look like that. he wouldn’t sound like that.
everything about that line is for lance. he says “i think he’s, like, the future.” i think. the moment he says “i think” this dialogue becomes personal. it’s not an objective fact that he states, like hunk, allura, and pidge when they answer. it’s his opinion. it’s personal to him. this moment is meant for lance. don’t take it away from him.
that’s basically all i have for now. as you can see, i clearly don’t like this theory. i’m not hating on anyone who supports it. if you believe in emperor keith, that’s great. all the power to you. but yea. those are my thoughts.
Look at all the dice you can get here!!!!
I’m pretty sure that’s what heaven looks like 😍
WHERE ARE YOU
OP TURN ON YOUR LOCATION
I am a little high but what if people proposed with beautiful, intricate knives. Ladies would gather around the table and be like “guess what finally happened!!” And pull this beautiful, intricate dagger out of her purse and all the other ladies would gasp and congratulate her
It’s an awesome idea tho
Because I have a tag for pretty weaponry, some knives I’d accept as proposals follow:

I said yes!
(but, actually, hubby bought me a dive knife when we got married so this works…)
Finally, a proper use for all those
khandas, kataras, haladies, and bichawas. And a proper
inglorious end
to the diamond fever.
I just told my best friend to tell my future partner that I want a knife instead of a ring for my proposal
