I don’t think I’ve ever been more viscerally angry about a Facebook recipe video. This shit burned my crops and stole my firstborn. I am absolutely appalled by this level of disrespect. I’m ready to fight.

that i remeber, we’ve never seen allura react positively at lance’s romantic advances…. they most positive interactions they’ve had have been the platonic ones, the only positive reaction i can think of to lance’s flriting was the space mall ‘i’d love something sparkly’ moment,,, if they planned on making a/l canon from the beginning why,, couldn’t they write her to like,, maybe progressively start reacting more postively to it? it’s been six seasons, why did she looks so ‘ehh ://’ when the mice told her lance had a crush on her?? and if lance actually started getting a crush on her for more than just being pretty then why couldn’t they actually show it? instead of just having lance tell the mice about it? why didn’t they show their feelings evolving in the six seasons they’ve got instead of just have lance magically go ‘oh yeah, now i like allura, but for the right reasons!’ so we as an audience can go ‘oh, now i can root for this relationship’? why do the showrunners say lance now is more self assured when he’s never been more isolated from the group?
why do the whole lowtura arc? to just see allura’s heart get broken and??? make lance look like the nice guy in comparison i guess? why would allura narratively only be allowed to return lance’s feelings after getting her heart broken by the universe’s shittiest person alive™? what is lance gonna do in the last 2 seasons that will get allura to like him romantically that he hasn’t done before? cause to my knowledge at the end of s6 she still didn’t feel like that for him. what is gonna change?
i said this already but why couldn’t they just write allura to not be so annoyed by lance’s flirting from the very beginning? why did it have to be a ‘if a girl doesnt like you keep trying for a year straight and if you like her for the right reasons she’ll eventually see you’re a nice guy and like you back’? they don’t deserve that, why couldn’t they just write them to have a cute mutual realtionship? maybe have allura react negatively the first time they meet cause ‘who tf is this lgy ears guy’ then they actually start getting to know each other? instead of consistently making lance’s crush only a source for comic relief then angst?
if it was planned from the beginning maybe then actually develop it before the last two seasons??? intead of making five seasons of nothing but one sided flirting then one season where their (nonexistent to this point) relationship just makes them a) lonely, feel worthless, isolated, heartbroken and b) sad/guilty/whatever this expression is meant to convey
