Gabriel is definitely hung up on Emilie, but he’s no fool. Nobody holds and touches their boss in such an intimate way—especially one who’s so cold and even flinches/gets surprised when his son hugs him.

I don’t think Nathalie would’ve done something like that if she expected a negative reaction…which leads me to believe it isn’t a first. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I like to imagine Gabriel having a mini crisis right after whatever happened to Emilie. He loves to have everything meticulously controlled—but maybe it prompted him to drink a bit too heavily to cope with the grief? Maybe he mindlessly turned to a slew of women to distract himself, never really enjoying their company. Maybe Nathalie was a convenience? I’m not suggesting they’ve slept together, but they seem very comfortable judging from the body language. It’s also rather difficult to say no to your boss. Nathalie seems intelligent and very professional, I don’t think she would be the first to engage or catch feelings for her employer.

Theory Time!

Okay okay, before you say anything, this may be a bit crazy. BUT I couldn’t help but think of it when I was trying to figure out Mayura’s identity.

Some think Mayura is Emilie because, well, she looks an awful lot like her.

Same up-turned eyes, same dainty nose, same mouth, same body type… and let’s not forget the fact that Mayura is the supposed “boss” of Hawk Moth, and what other woman would have power over him than his own wife?

But the problem is, Emilie seems to be in a coma at the moment, or… worse. So how could Mayura be Emilie?

Maybe, just maybe, Ladybug and Chat Noir do something to wake her up, or she awakens on her own somehow to become Mayura.

What if Nathalie is in fact Mayura, and for her transformation she wanted to look a lot like the man she love’s wife in hopes to win him over.
She appears to love a man whose heart is with someone else. What better way to get his attention than having the appearance of her and try to prove that she’s better?
