So Gabriel is a “the end justifies the means” kind of person. He’s selfish and puts his own desires above everyone else. We’ve seen him risk the lives of people without a second thought—even his own son. We’ve seen him steadily grow more reckless and take bigger risks. At some point, that desperation will grow deadly, increasing the risk for everyone.

What I’m trying to say is, there is a very short list of people Gabriel isn’t willing to sacrifice, namely his wife and son. 

Except, he stopped Nathalie from using the peacock miraculous. The man so incredibly desperate to revive his wife, the man who believes the end justifies the means, the man who takes risk after risk and endangers others, refuses to put his secretary in that kind of danger. Nathalie’s safety/life isn’t worth the risk to him.

I’ll just leave the interpretation of that up to you.
