Miraculous Ladybug Theory (season 2 spoilers)

So I was just thinking about Miraculous, and I just remembered this dude from season one:

Jalil Kubdel, who was akumatized in The Pharoh. So his while thing was that he was hunting down a magic object that was rumored to be able to bring back loved ones from the dead. He believed it to be the scepter of the Pharoh. But at the same time, Marinette was drawn to the museum because of a drawing of Ladybug from the same era:

So I wonder if Jalil was right about the ritual, but was wrong about the catalyst object. What if it was the Miraculous the Pharoh needed? It certainly makes me think about another character with similar motivations…
