Asexual? Pansexual? I don’t know, I thought her attraction to Adrien came out of nowhere, and she’s got her own homelife issues and personal hang ups. The way Kagami was set up it didn’t feel like she had the luxury or inclination towards romance.
Like don’t get it twisted, I KNOW Kagami was brought in as like a counter-romantic partner for Adrien. But I thought it was going to be more of Adrien seeing Ladybug qualities in her and pursuing her based on his incorrect assumptions, and Kagami would see him pretty neutrally, while simultaneously giving Marinette a believable rival that would challenge her to be a better romantic partner by either having her kick her butt into gear to make a move or (as happened canonically, yay my Girl) she’d have to put her feelings aside because for once someone who wasn’t objectively awful caught Adrien’s attention. Then Frozer came out and like…egh. Like I’m glad Marinette didn’t let her jealousy come out and have her sabotage Adrien and Kagami’s chances with each other, but I was also holding out for the whole…not awful rival thing.
I headcanon her as can’t be assed, with an inclination towards strong people with good leadership qualities and the ability to make things happen.
