BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK AT THE PORTRAIT

So Ive been in charge of designing the background and her dress for the portrait. It took me a while to finish because i was working, on and off with it.

THE DRESS

So the whole concept for cressie’s dress was supposed to be a mash of korean and mexican elements but displayed in a subtle way. We did it that way so we could portray more of cressie’s personality and taste. Since cressie’s very conservative, we didn’t want to expose her skin that much through the clothing. the crop top thing was a reminder of her green crop top hoodie and at the same time a traditional korean top.

the color palette before started with the teal palette but we changed it eventually to a blue and red-ish pink to complement her cheek color, ukulele and her favorite color. it is also a reminder of her usual navy blue dress.

Now lastly for the patterns, the patterns. the leaf pattern was from the blue dress while the tulips are for favorite flower.

THE BACKGROUND

we did the background twice because it turned out too simple, not the right color pallet and lack the elements we wanted to portray. thankfully the second one pulled it off. @gravityfying just added more in the final look to fill up the spaces.
