-the miraculous team. (Ladybug, Chat noir, Rena rouge, carapace, and Queen bee) are a super team with their own headquarters.
- (they are normally in costume, like in the teen titans show)
-hawkmoth is now more like Slade, and ambitions are more mysterious
- They basically protect Paris, and their powers are upgraded from before.
-Rena rouge can cast as many illusions as she wants and isn’t limited to one use. She also can move faster.
-carapace can cast shellter multiple times and can make mini shields.
-ladybug can create objects, but needs to focus and it can be whatever she wants (the more complicated it is, the more focus she needs), it ain’t just a deus ex machina. (And has healing capabilities)
-Chat noir can use cataclysm multiple times. He can control how potent it is.
- queen bee has stingers that shoot her venom, and she can fly.
-(obvious ladynoir)
“I’m not a fan of Lila as a character, but I absolutely love her design, and I think she’s one of the prettiest characters in the show.”
ok so say they went to a school halloween party or smth and adrien and marinette dress up as chat noir and ladybug respectfully, but because the costumes are simple, thrown together every day clothes they dont even recognize them as their partner. also because these kids are blind
I just remembered something that happened with me and my team that relates to the ML fandom salting it up about the show being like fanfics and or taking fanfics for the show.
The thing I wanted to say is that similar ideas will always collide at one point. In the ML fandom, people have written so many fanfics, it shouldn’t be a surprise if the show begins to feel like one. People can write fanfics quicker than getting animations out because animation takes longer. The writers of a show need to be about 2-3 seasons ahead for a show. So it shouldn’t be suprising if fanfic stories hit similar tropes and other things that the ML show has. When you wait for the next season or whatever, all you do is theorize and think of ideas, so yea.
I wanted to share an experience how similar ideas collide, especially story wise. When I was in my final year in college for my degree in animation, my team and I spent the previous 1 year and a half desiging a story for our senior thesis, which was making a animted short. Our story consisted of a toy town where shit happens and it turns out that it’s a little brother and older sister playing with their grandfather’s toy train set. (Does a movie come to mind?) So how do you think we felt, when we just started production on our animated short when the LEGO movie released? All my friends and I went to the movie and enjoyed it, mind you, but when they revealed that it was a son playing with his father’s lego set, how do you think we felt seeing a reveal like that like our animated short had? We were starting to freak out about to halt everything and start designing a new story when our professor told us to stop.
Our professor for that year who was our director, told us that ideas, whether it’s stories, characters, etc, will always collide with another in similarity in a point in time. But if it’s executed differently, who cares if there’s similarities. It’s OUR story. It’s OUR creation. We should be proud of what WE create, regardless if there are similarities. So we continued with our story and finished it by the due date that was given to us. And it turned out to be a big hit at our release date, especially with the kids. We even won some awards against other animated shorts. Just because there are similarities, there is nothing that deserves freak outs, anger, saddness, or salt for something to have similarities with something else.
That’s all I wanted to share.
BBWoulf out.
In light of

this picture being released, I’ve had some thoughts.
I feel like Mari’s is easier. She could easily be like La Minet (the kitten) or like literally Chatte Noire (feminine version). I’d hope they’d be a little more creative than just giving her Chat’s already established name, though.
But Adrien’s in different. He can’t very well go by Ladybug. I mean… he could? But it would be a little confusing for the people of Paris. My first thought was that he could go by Coccinelle (French for Ladybug), this would work since Ladybug goes by Ladybug, even in the French dub, so they don’t use the French word at all. But that also makes sense since it could be difficult to pronounce for English viewers and cause translation issues if used for Adrien’s Ladybug. He could possibly go by Bug Rouge or like Scarabée (French for beetle), or maybe even L’insect.. but I think the Miraculous team could definitely come up with something better.
But I could also see Adrien being really excited and flustered to be Ladybug and get a little messed up when asked what his superhero identity is called. For example…
————
His red clad feet hit the pavement, landing him in front of several reporters, including Alya for the Ladyblog. Adrien had just purified his first akuma and used Miraculous healing to undo the damage of the attack. The real Ladybug, currently using the black cat miraculous, had already made her get away for the day. It really was Adrien’s time to shine.
There was applause, thunderous in nature. This was something he never received as Chat Noir, unless he was with his Lady. Cameras were flashing and he was giddy in excitement at the red-polka-dot suit surrounding him.
Many microphones were shoved at him, reporters cramming their way in to ask questions. The most common?
“What do you call yourself?”
“I’m—“ he paused. Adrien hadn’t thought about this. “I’m— Lady… boy…?” His voice wandered off as the reporters got quiet in confusion.
The next day every newspaper in Paris made sure to thank their new hero: Ladyboy.
