Stammering Adrien AU(final cut) Part Two

• Emilie periodically goes through a dictionary, looking for individual pet names for Adrien’s friends. She already has “Dumpling” for Marinette(she shares this one with Sabine), “DJ” for Nino, “Scoop” for Alya, “Honeydrop” for Chloe, “Blueberry” for Luka(she shares this one with Anarka), “Doodlebug” for Nathaniel, “Rosebud” for Rose,  “Lullaby” for Juleka. and “Gumdrop” for Marc. She’s struggling with the rest of them, not that they mind, but she is determined to give them all a cute and appropriate pet name.
• Nathalie has her own pet name for Adrien. Angel.
• Once they start dating, Marinette and Adrien will go from cuddling to snuggling, finding a nice, cozy spot with lots of pillows, getting under a blanket or two, and just spend hours at a time snuggling, smooching, blushing and giggling at each other.
• In an attempt to help Chloe get better at being a good friend, Sabrina has taken a page from Lilo and Stitch, and created a ”badness level chart”. It’s gone up and down a few times, but they’re working on it.
• Chloe has a greater connection to Master Fu than she thinks because while she has never gotten his name, she visits him regularly to receive Acupuncture. While it is painful at first, Chloe actually finds it quite relaxing and rejuvenating. She has recommended it to her friends, but they are turned off by the idea of all those needles, especially Sabrina, who HATES needles.
• Emilie and Nathalie regularly visit Gabriel’s grave on his birthday and holidays. Emilie usually leaves little “gifts” by the tombstone, little things that usually have to do with Adrien. 
• Marinette and Adrien have a slew of pet names for each other. Adrien’s favorites for Marinette are “Cupcake”, and “Princess”, and Marinette’s favorites for Adrien are “Sunshine Boy”, and “Muffin”.  She was worried about “Sunshine Boy” because it was close to “Sunshine”, which is what was being used by his mom, but Emilie insists that because Marinette puts the word “Boy” behind it, that it’s perfectly fine. She even insists on sharing the nickname for him. Adrien doesn’t mind as he loves being called either.
• Emilie positively ADORES Marinette, and loves to spend time with her, getting to know the precious “Dumpling” who is dating her baby.
•  Emilie has even started talking to Marinette about the possibility of coming to work for the family business in the future. 
• Eventually, the truth gets out about Marinette and Adrien’s alter egos to their parents and closest friends. They feel guilty at first, but are comforted by their mothers.
• After they learn each other’s secret, a new slew of pet names are made by the new couple. Adrien loves to call Marinette “Bugaboo”, “Lovebug“, and “Buginette”. Marinette loves to call Adrien “Kitty”, “Kittykoo”, and “Mon Chaton.”
• After a conversation with Emilie, Audrey decides t try and become a better person, wife, and mother, and patches things up with Chloe.
•  Alya, Chloe, and Nino all earn their individual Kwamis, and become heroes as well.
• Chloe develops a crush on Luka, and finds herself writing poetry about him. She also develops a friendship with Marc.
• Sabrina finds out she needs braces. She’s upset at first, but is comforted by Chloe.
• In order to better hide their identities, the Kwamis make small alterations to their hosts during transformation. These subtle changes include slight lightening and darkening of skin tone and hair, raising or lowering of voices, and adding a little height and muscle mass to the bodies. While the changes are not drastic, they are just visible enough for the people of Paris not to recognize our young heroes

*the staff. Mainly after season 1, Astruc being like “but there was always queer rep! you just needed to look more closely!”, as though the only way to see queer rep is through a magnifying glass, which is… the exact opposite……..

Like I know Rose can be bi and like two different people, but the way they screw up any sort of timeline with that – telling us that Julerose has been a thing this whole time, but then in two instances implying she’s in love with someone else – doesn’t so much negate Rose’s attraction to two genders, as it does negate that she’s in any sort of long-term monogamous relationship

they didn’t even have to make a webisode about Ali, like Rose in second season has hung out with the girl squad and plays with a band; there’s already a decent amount there where they didn’t need to bring him up. Bonus points if they had added Julerose! (Even platonic Julerose would’ve been a good addition to justify the romantic interpretation.) But nope, they outright went with a script that brings back Ali in a romantic context.

7 – fake dating au

“You’re sure this is the right way to get the media off the idea that you and Ladybug are dating?”, Marinette nervously shifted her weight to the other foot and buried her hands deeper in her pockets.

Chat only groaned from his spread-out position on her chaise, shrugging.

He had just escaped a few reporters asking him again, for the third time this week, if he was dating Ladybug.

The kiss on the cheek had apparently seemed too intimate for Paris’ liking.

Marinette once again tapped her foot on the floor, then she got up from her chair and went over to the cat themed superhero, her eyebrows furrowed.

“Chat.”

He lifted his muscular arm from his eyes and glared at her out of cat like green eyes, his chest heaving up and down. He was still out of breath from running off the reporters, Marinette realized.

Or maybe he was really uncomfortable that people assumed he was together with the love of his life when really, he wasn’t.

It was apparently much more important to him that she thought.

But it was still no reason for him yet to claim that he and Marinette were a couple, to post it to the public and to possibly make her a target for Hawkmoth.

Not even considering yet that first, he wanted to pretend to be in a relationship with Marinette to shake off Ladynoir shippers (which was a huge irony in itself, he just didn’t know) and second, if she became a target for Hawkmoth to make Chat insecure, it would make it very difficult for her to transform.

Also, people would start asking questions. She knew for a fact that all of her class, scratch that, all of her school was following Chat’s Instagram.

Alya’s call right after he posts that picture would be a nightmare alone.

And she, well, could lose all hope of ever getting together with Adrien anymore. He’d know she was together with a superhero and that would eliminate her chances down to zero.

On the other hand, her chances with Adrien had almost been zero before, anyway.

Alya would probably think it’s great her best friend was with a superhero and her class would hopefully not ask her too many questions. Maybe it would even be a little funny, to giggle with Chat about the misconceptions of everyone, to think of new ridiculous couple pictures, maybe she could even make herself feel better for, well… Handling him like a second option after Adrien.

She still felt guilty for not letting him any closer to her as Ladybug, because she was already in love with Adrien. If she had just met Chat earlier than Adrien…

“So, are you in? Just to get them off. After a month or so we could ‘break up’ again.”, he sniffled.

Oh well. It would probably be hell, but whatever. His pouty kitty eyes and his hopeful expression broke her heart. She just couldn’t see him suffer for any longer.

“… Fine. But no interviews, no reporters swarming my house and no big media thing. No names on the internet and no real kisses.”

“And I’m not allowed to fall in love with you?”, Chat’s amused twinkle in his eyes came back to him as he jumped up, grinning from ear to ear as he already pulled out his phone.

“Damn straight, alley cat.”

They quickly took a photo of Chat kissing her cheek and he put some cheesy text beneath it, then he posted it without tagging her and Marinette’s phone gave a little ping from her pocket.

She pulled it out, expecting it to be an Instagram notification from thekittycat_deluxe, but instead the name agrested_blonde popped up with a new post.

She tapped on it and to her horror, she saw the picture of Chat and her on Adrien’s Instagram account, with the cheesy text and everything.

Chat’s confused green eyes met hers, then he glanced on her phone and all color drained from his face.

“… W-Wrong account?”, he tried with a weak voice but Marinette’s scream already tore through the night.

What if Marinette got a concussion?

I mean, it’s bound to happen eventually! She gets thrown around my Akumas so often that eventually she’ll probably hit it the wrong way by falling as Marinette or hitting a wall as Ladybug. And she gets back up, and immediately falls back down. I have two different theories about what would happen next….

Marinette

She’s lying on the floor, seeing fuzzy figures attempt to pick her up. As soon as her vision begins to clear, Marinette gets up and stumbles around.

Alya is very concerned (because GIRL YOU HIT YOUR HEAD YOU SHOULD NOT BE WALKING AROUND LIKE THAT!)

And Nino is running ahead of her trying to stop her from walking away because DUDETTE YOU MIGHT HAVE A CONCUSSION AND I WILL CRY IF YOU GET HURT MORE BC OF ME!

But Adrien is just freaking out, running to the teacher, getting the nurse and trying to get Mari to sit down. But she’s so out of it that she just waved him off saying “Stupid Chaton, I’m trying to do ballet”.

And that’s when they gets really concerned. Marinette stays home for 10 days recovering from her concussion and for some reason Hawkmoth doesn’t attack during those days and no one knows why (Gabriel was concerned for her because Adrien was freaking out and he knew she was very talented and he hates seeing his son like that even though he’d never admit it).

But eventually Marinette comes back to school and everyone is hovering over her until she just. Snaps.

And then everyone learns that even though she got a concussion from tripping over her own feet, she is perfectly capable of helping herself, thank you very much!

Ladybug

Ladybug gets tossed into a wall and that’s like the fifth time this fight. Even magic can’t save every little injury. So she has a concussion, but refuses to let Chat help her. She defeats the villain, fixes the mess, but her concussion stays.

She starts feeling really dizzy and collapses, but she attempts to get right back up so she can leave. Chat insists that she has to take care of herself because a head injury could be serious if she didn’t take care of herself.

When she detransforms into Marinette, her parents immediately fuss over her and insist she stay home and rest. Tikki flits around, making sure Marinette doesn’t get up. But she still ends up patrolling the city with a concussion and Chat has to threaten to take away her earrings if she doesn’t stop. Because Chat knows how to do that.

Or imagine it’s post reveal, and he’s like GOSH DARN IT MARINETTE, YOU HAVE A CONCUSSION YOU SHOULD NOT BE ZIPPING AROUND PARIS! And he puts her on bed rest and comes over everyday for crossiants to check up on her.
