That scene where Chat thinks about following Ladybug as her transformation wears off, then decides not to-

This is the first time that I’ve realized this kid is seriously pining. He’s usually all goofy and flirty, and Marinette’s crush is so over the top that you want to hug her and tell her to keep trying more than you really feel empathy. But this scene, it’s giving me tiny chest pangs.

The more we learn about Adrien, the more we get to see how lonely he is (I mean, his best friend is Chloe), and I only just  realized that he cares about Ladybug way more strongly than puppy love.

Being Chat Noir came bundled with one stroke of good luck: he gets a strong, confident, bubbly, supportive friend who isn’t caught up in any of the drama of his life and likes him for who he actually is, instead of who Adrien is supposed to be. And I think he just wants to find out her identity so they can do more than fight crime together; hang out as civilians, become real friends. He could finally have one person he can really be comfortable around for once.

Crap crap crap I did not go into this show expecting to have feelings this early.
