Nickname Translations

In the french version Chat Noir calls Ladybug, Buginette.
When -ette is added to a noun, the suffix refers to a smaller version of that noun. He is literally calling her Little Bug in a cute affectionate way. 

In the english version he calls her Bugaboo.
Boo is term of endearment derived from the French word “beau” which translates to Beautiful.
