“Message Received” was a really fun episode to art direct. Rebecca and the story teams did such a good job introducing the Yellow Diamond arc, and I wanted to find a cool way to help strengthen that through color. The last image is some color exploration stuff I did, completely based on Danny’s design.

Now that the leaked ep has officially aired I’m so glad I can finally let this piece out of my queue. This was SUCH a good episode and I wanted to make fanart SO badly because amedot has been my secret brotp ever since I watched “Keeping It Together” for the first time and thought that these two bratlords would get along REALLY well.
I’ve associated this particular song with them for a while, too because I think the sound of it (the last minute and a half especially) would make a GREAT fusion song for them.
