MIRTH AND I ACTUALLY HAD A MINOR EDIT WAR OVER THIS

i, at first, had something along the lines of ‘404 ladybug.exe not responding’ (as a reference to this: ‘404 brain hamsters not found’ AKA the other half of the reference to the brain hamsters in check yes juliet chapter 2 :D)

mirth, who actually knows her shit, said ‘no 404 is for webpages’ and took out the 404 bit

and i was like ‘meh it was a stupid idea anyway’ and took all the lines out entirely and made a few references to her complete meltdown in her internal monologue

but mirth was like ‘no no shhh it was a good idea here put it back’ and put it to this

and i remember staring at it like ‘okay you know what fine whatever it can stay jUST LET ME POST THIS ALREADY’

and am i ever glad i did :DDDD

please do not ask me why marinette is making programming jokes. just know that i had a programming assignment due at the time and had crashing programs on the brain. (loops are my enemy f o r e v e r) (and arrays are the literal worst) (the worst)

  • it would be appropriate
  • etc
  • aka I’M GLAD HE DIDN’T FINISH THAT SENTENCE BC I HAVE NO CLUE HOW IT WOULD HAVE ENDED WHAT IS CHARACTER VOICE EVEN

basically it had completely occurred to him that he could try to kiss her as thanks, but she was none too receptive to chat’s attempts and he had no reason to think adrien would have a different welcome

(boy was he shocked when she suggested that. it’s a tossup who was more wrecked with that little sentence, i think)

(also he’d had no idea LB had it in her and now he’s wondering more than ever what she’s like out of the costume bc ‘femme fatale’ had never quite made the list but it sure as hell is on the table now)

(the fact that she’s channeling his alter-ego goes completely over his head. it works really, really well (on him) and his flirting doesn’t work nearly so well - for him, there isn’t even a connection to make)

the moral of this story is that @mirthalia has really sound advice and cap is a genius (to no one’s surprise)

Okay but I could totally see Vera starting to see the prom posters up and wanting to go, but then it's drifting closer and closer to prom and she slowly stops wanting to go because she was wanting Alyn to ask her. Finally two weeks before prom BOOM Alyn asks her to go and she is so happy and Alyns tie and Vera's dress match. AND THEY DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY AND VERA IS SO HAPPY.

THATS CUTE EXCEPT I THINK IF THIS were to ever be a situation, it would be alyn who wanted to go to prom. to be a part of something? ya know to feel normal for one night? vera usually would prefer to avoid something like this but he might want to go so bad

one day a month before prom she says “alyn what’s my best color?” and without thinking he’s like

“blue”

so she shows him pictures of these two blue dresses and he looks at her funny like “what are those for? did someone ask you to prom? i thought you didn’t want to go….?”

and she just. almost smiles. almost. “i thought it might be fun to go with a friend. no one has asked me yet.” and that’s a lie. alyn knows its a lie. he’s watched her turn down like 3 ppl a week for prom ok.

he’s not stupid. “you want me to ask you?”

“or i could ask you, if you’d like.”

and he blinks at her and she swears there’s something warm about his expression when he points to the dress that looks like

but in blue ok and he says, “you’d look good in that one.”
