I’ve just seen this with my friends that like anime A LOT. They always emphasize the difference between japanese, chinese, korean blah blah but as in an defensive mood. JUST LIKE THIS:

I’m sorry to be rude here but

1) This has nothing to do with anime, Chloe was straight up being racist by seeing that Master Cheng was Asian and therefore just assuming he was Japanese and should be making sushi

2) He wasn’t being defensive. If anything, he was calling her out for being racist.

2) Also “chinese, korean, japanese blah blah”. Way to be respectful to the myriad of Asian cultures. 

3) I still have no idea what this has to do with being an otaku. A lot of people know that sushi is a Japanese dish. You don’t have to watch anime 24/7 to know at least that bit of Japanese culture.
