Fan Speculation: Episodes in Chronological (?) Order

This is my take on the chronological order of the episodes, and my reasoning for why they’re in that order. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please feel free to chime in! A lot of my info comes from Marinette’s Calendar and from this post.

1) The Bubbler- Just generally a good introductory episode. We know it occurs before Cupid’s Arrow/ Dislocoeur because Alya makes a comment in Dislocoeur about Marinette forgetting to sign her name again.

2) Lady Wifi- Again, I speculate that this episode happens before Cupid’s Arrow/ Dislocoeur. When Alya is found photographing Chloe’s locker, Kim is standing up for Chloe and taking her side, even going as far as to follow to the principal’s office. I doubt he’d so blindly support Chloe after she broke his heart.

3) Cupid’s Arrow- We know this exact date for Dislocoeur, because it’s Valentine’s Day- February 14th!

4) Time Breaker- Marinette’s Calendar shows “Roller Time” on April 6th. This is probably to mark Kim and Alix’s contest.

5) Stormy Weather- Stormy Weather declares that vacation is canceled in favour of her icy weather. While this could allude to summer vacation due to Chat’s swimsuit comment, Marinette’s calendar also shows tropical doodles surrounding a Vacation marked to start on April 19th.

6) Pantomime for a Daughter- It’s really tiny and hard to see, but I THINK the date of the show in the corner of the posters says April 28th or 29th.

7) Rojorcop- I think this one is right before Animan because in the beginning, Nino is filming Marinette and rooting her on during Parent’s Day. In Animan, Adrien comments on how Nino has been staring at Marinette a lot recently.

8) Animan- Despite it being the latest released episode, I don’t think it’s the latest in the time line. Marinette is still hella awkward around Adrien, and Adrien doesn’t seem to have any interest in Mari at this point besides a classmate. There’s also the bit with Chat sniffing Ladybug; later, in Pharaoh, Adrien comments to Plagg that girls (Ladybug) smell better than Plagg’s cheese.

9) Evillustraor- I think this is the turning point when Adrien’s relationship with Mari starts to change. Seeing her act somewhat like Ladybug while disguised as Chat had to be an eye opener. After that, Adrien starts acting more forward (and even flirty) around Marinette. Likewise, she starts to build a friendship with him, and slowly is able to speak without stammering.

10) Mr. Pigeon- May 18th is the date of the hat making contest. Adrien is openly supportive of Mari, and starts to show more interest in her.

11) The Gamer- The gaming competition is set from May 18th to the 21st, making this episode set the evening of the day Mr. Pigeon took place. We know Marinette was already Ladybug that day anyway, because she starts off the episode saying how Chat almost discovered her identity earlier that day. There is no class time during this episode; Mari returns to the school in the early evening to work on a project with Alya, when she finds them all playing video games.

12) Dark Blade- The date on the news says May 21st during the story about the election.

13) The Pharaoh- The date on Alya’s blog post about finding Ladybug’s textbook is marked May 21st, making this episode set either after school that day, or maybe Friday/ that weekend.

14) Copycat- Marinette points to June 8th on her calendar. This is also VE Day (Victory in Europe Day), so the statue unveiling may have been part of the city’s celebrations.

15) The Horrificator- At this point, it seems like Nino and Alya are together, or at least on close terms, placing this episode after Animan. Marinette has also learned to somewhat act like a functioning human being around Adrien, to the point that she almost kisses him without having a meltdown. Adrien, as well, seems more close to Mari, especially in his eagerness to kiss her over Chloe. Also, COMMENCE THE SHOULDER TOUCHING.

16) Kung Food- Seeing as there’s no mention of any school in this episode I almost want to place it during the early days of summer vacation, which generally starts the week of July 14th (Bastille Day). Also, Adrienette on point, so much shoulder touching, Mari talking to him like no big deal. Look at how far our babies have come!
