i was imagining Sabine being one of those super severe design icons thats like so full of,not quite sass what do you call it, venom but more funny, like when people come up to me and say SABINE I LOVE YOU HOW DO YOU STAY SO TRIM? i always tell them the same thing, how dare you speak to me, this is so cute, i was thinking, adrien being chat blanc in this would be cool, being a pristine elegant white cat.
YESS YOu are absolutely right, that quote totally snaps it into place for me. I couldn’t quite pin down Sabine, I’m sure you could tell. Marinette certainly isn’t neglected like Adrien in the original, pretty much the opposite. But constantly being in mom’s shadow, being expected to get straight A’s and not make mistakes… it would wear on her. She gets positive reinforcement and sometimes she and Sabine have really good fun times together - being really sassy for the media is one of them haha.
HMMM that chat blanc idea is interesting - since it visually does kind of what pink ladybug is doing?? HMM. Would that mirror the admiration Ladybug has for him and would the team be too visually washed out in that case? hm.
We were also wondering about Sabrina. She might still be floating around Chloe looking for approval OR if Chloe had Marinette to focus on (and marinette treats her quite kindly, Chloe tends to do her bullying when Marinette isn’t around) that might give Sabrina a little more exposure to what someone nice is like. So she’d be more into her own thing and maybe hanging out with more people. what if she was more independent with her own aspirations, maybe of being a detective with her dad being a cop and all. She’d be like a tiny nancy drew. Maybe she helps Nino in his attempts to figure out the identities of the heroes? I want to know more about how she and Chloe became friends so i can tweak it.

It’s important to know that hijab is banned in schools in most of the european countries, such as france, belgium, switzerland etc. Millions of girls have to take their hijab off everyday in order to have access to education, and I am one of them. Please spread this as much as possible, it has become so normal here that I feel like a fool for even mentioning it, but I’m pretty sure it goes against the human rights. This senseless law has been on since 2004 and pretends that all the students have to be “equal” and it is prohibited to show that you belong to any religion, any religious sign must be set aside. However, most of us have to take our hijab off in schools where you can clearly see a christmas tree or a christian cross. “Yeah but it’s not the same”, they say. Tell me about double standards. I pray for days when we don’t have to chose between religion and education.

sudden headcanon time, inspired by @caprette‘s adorable art:
for all his ‘girls are so gross kid u g h’ talk, it takes exactly .5 seconds for plagg to fall in love with mari
this happens with every single time ladybug and chat noir reveal their identities:
in the beginning of every partnership, chat noir will inevitably end up pining hopelessly after ladybug, and plagg will convince himself that ladybug can’t really be all that great, god, chat’s pining is annoying, can’t chat just think about food like a normal person? etc etc etc
and then, once in a while, ladybug and chat noir will reveal their identities to one another
and plagg will meet tikki’s bearer
and he’ll take it all back, everything negative he’s ever said about this person, because oh wow he’s never met a human so perfect before
and they’ll be great friends, plagg and tikki’s bearer, jokers or cuddle/nap buddies or partners in crime, and he’ll love them with everything his little black heart has - all of chat’s pining suddenly makes sense, because this is literally the most wonderful, lovely human to ever exist, plagg is sure
but then something big and stupid happens (chat dies for ladybug/chat is betrayed by ladybug/ladybug dies and drives chat to depression/they both simply die of old age while the immortal kwami go on) and plagg swears it’ll never happen again - that he’ll never get sucked in again, that all the ladybugs are stupid and honestly, chat, you’re disgusting, stop getting your feelings all over the place god
and then a few bearers will pass and plagg’s heartbreak will fade and he’ll just be the normal amount of disgusted with chat noir’s ridiculous lovestruck antics
and then the new ladybug and chat noir will reveal their identities to one another
and history will repeat
I entirely support the nap buddies headcanon. It is one of my favourite post-reveal headcanons.
Plagg sleeps on Marinette whenever possible. He goes and sits on her when he’s arguing with Adrien. He likes it when she pets his head even though he doesn’t tolerate being “treated like a pet” by Adrien.
