Yknow I adored the moments in TDI where the teens are… Being teens. When they were all playing frisbee, going swimming together, and just spending time together. It was a very small yet cute detail that reminded us that they were kids and gave insight on some of the interactions going on at camp
Those scenes were practically absent TDA onwards (I can only remember a ball being kicked around by the trailers) granted we did see a fair amount of talking in TDWT on the plane, but it wasn’t the same
Then TDROTI came around and there was… Only really the cabin scenes and even then they were limited. And that just shown us they were kids that slept. There were no friendships being shown, no interactions on campgrounds, no games, nothing.
Same with TDAS. All interactions were absent while only verbal conversations in the spa hotel/cabin remained
I can sorta excuse TDPI as they were surviving then, and we got to see interactions and conversations on camp while campers searched for food and materials, and I think that’s why TDPI is the most appealing out of the three 13 episode seasons
It always seemed really weird we didn’t get to see the campers act like teenagers between TDWT, TDROTI and TDAS

man like. being lgbt kind of ruins time with relatives in a very specific way that cishets will never truly experience. like family time can be rough tm but theres a special brand of discomfort that lgbt people face and it’s kinda wild
