red fox on the hunt in yellowstone. just beneath the snow, insulated from cold temperatures and high winds, is a vast network of tunnels which serve as the winter home of mice and voles. though hidden under the snow, the fox are able to hear them and tread lightly on the snow so as not to be heard themselves. (videography)
